Nestled into the rugged coastline sits our wonderful, one bedroom apartment, Carrick View. This over 100 year old barn has been lovingly restored, and it houses our beloved bolthole, which has become a regular escape for many. Enjoy panoramic sea views from the comfort of the sofa, and wander down to the water’s edge within minutes. The apartment sits on the ground floor of the two storey barn conversion, within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Cornwall Mining Heritage land.

This space is a supremely dreamy couples retreat, and it is also perfect for solo travellers looking for some R&R and complete tranquillity. For the adventurous types, Carrick View will act as the perfect haven to return to after a day of exploring the local landscapes. You won’t fall short of spectacular places to explore in this part of West Cornwall, from world famous landmarks to breathtaking beaches and stretches of coastal path. 

Delve into Cornish history and dine out on local cuisine, or simply stay within the realms of the apartment - we pride ourselves on having everything you should need for a laidback break. Carrick View really does boast an envious location, and we’ve no doubt you’ll never tire of such spectacular views of the Atlantic, during dramatic storms or breathtaking sunsets. We certainly don’t. 

Guests have exclusive use during their stay. The minimum booking is 4 nights and changeover day is Friday. One small dog is welcomed.

Prices from £106 per night / £550 - £650 per week. We have a minimum stay of four nights, and offer a 20% discount for a week’s stay, on the nightly rate.

  • There is such a variety of things to do locally, from exploring the mining landscapes and walking the coast path, to relaxing on the beaches, or playing a round golf.

    Part of the Poldark Series has been filmed in this area. Levant Mine is the location of Tressiders Rolling Mill, and Wheal Owles and The Crowns at Botallack provide the location for Wheal Leisure. The Brisons appear in the opening shots of the series.

    The town of St Just offers a variety of shops for provisions, cafes, pubs, and a good, Cornish fish and chip shop as well.

    Further afield there is a wealth of prehistoric sites to explore including; the Men-an-Tol stones, gardens such as Trengwainton, National Trust properties, St Michael's Mount, the Art galleries in Penzance and St Ives; and the Minack Theatre, to mention a few.

    Sennen Beach is only seven miles away, as is the famous Land's End!

  • The apartment is in a spectacular location overlooking the golf course down to the cove.

    The dining/lounge/kitchen is open-plan and the kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric cooking facilities. Heating is electric and inclusive. Bed linen and towels are provided.

    There is one double bedroom, and one bathroom with a shower over the bath.

    Outside, you shall find seating areas on the seaward side of the barn to sit and enjoy the views over the cove. There is a laundry room for guests' use which also provides secure storage area for surf boards or bicycles.

  • Buses do operate through St Just towards St Ives and Penzance and there is a free car park in St Just for anyone wishing to use public transport.

    There is allocated parking opposite the front door.
